ABSTRACT

Bronchial asthma is a disease characterized by an excessive response of the trachea and

bronchi to various kinds of stimuli, resulting in narrowing of the airway that is widespread
throughout the lungs and degrees can be changed spontaneously or after receiving treatment. From
data in West Singkawang Community Health Center By 2016 data from January to August 401
patients with bronchial asthma.
The purpose of the study was to obtain a description of "How Providing Nursing Care Case
Study On Family With Bronchial Asthma in the Central Health West Singkawang 2017 ?"
Methods of data collection are qualitative methods using case studies. Case study research
aims to illustrate the case in depth.
The results of the study found the first family diagnosis of acute pain, ineffective breathing
patterns, lack of knowledge and diagnosis in the second family is the pattern of ineffective
breathing, sleep patterns disorder, and lack of knowledge. Both diagnoses have problems in the
inability of families to recognize the problem.
It can be concluded that if the family knows the meaning, causes, signs and symptoms,
management and how to care for family members with Bronchial Asthma then the above problems
can be resolved.
Suggestions for families to keep the environment, diet, sleep patterns, get healthy living,
and exercise enough.
