We will celebrate each student around the time of his/her birthday. Please check the
attached schedule or refer to our Weebly page. Feel free to change to open weeks if that
better suits your schedule and let me know of the change. Our celebration includes a
parent letter, a poster, and a treat.
Birthday treats are encouraged: anything from great snacks (we have 10 students)
to a donated book. Your child will have an “All About Me Poster” c oming home with them
the week before their scheduled time. Please send it in Monday (or before) of his/her
special week. Your child will share it and it will be displayed. Please write a letter
telling all about the special gift that is your child. If you are unable to come in; send the
letter with your child, and I will read/show the letter to the class. The content and form
of the letter is up to you. You may want to describe a special or funny story about your
child for the class to hear, write a silly or serious poem about your child, tell us some neat
things we may not know about your child, share their baby book, create a slideshow or a
video, or send special pictures with a letter describing the pictures. Many parents come in
to share a treat and simply answer questions about their child. The children love to hear
about their classmates!
If your schedule allows, join your child in the dining room for a special lunch during
his/her week. The lunch period is 11:40-12:20. You may bring lunch in or purchase one in
the dining room. Send me an email so I can add you to the count. Contact me with
questions!
