UNIT 1.

MY PERFECT HOUSE

My perfect house has got two floors, a big garage and a blue swimming pool
with a beautiful garden full of plants and tres

Inside the house is enormous It has got big windows with long curtains.
Downstairs there are five bedrooms with enormous beds and spacious
wardrobes, two bathrooms with Jacuzzi, a beautiful kitchen with an American
fridge and a table in the center, where I eat with my family, and a living room
with two or three large sofas.

Upstairs, there are a games room where I play with my friends, an office to work
and to study, and finally room called “the cinema-room”, with several comfortable
seats and a giant screen where my friends and I see our favourite films.

There is a garage where I have three cars and a motorbike.But I am not rich and
this house is only a dream.

UNIT 2. A DESCRIPTION OF A TOWN.

Villanueva de Córdoba is a small village. I like the wonderful trees and parks. I
like the hills and the old buildings and houses. I like the smalls street and the
coffee shops in the centre where people sit. I can swim in the swimming pool and
go to an interesting museums, cinema and a supermarket. There’s a famous
church in Villanueva. I can visit in summer with my family because my
grandmother lives there. It’s a very beautiful city. I don’t like the weather in Winter
because it’s often cold and rains, bur in the summer, the weather is fantastic.

UNIT 3. AN SPECIAL DAY

My favourite day of the week it's Sunday because there isn't school and I can do
what I want, for example I can watch TV, play sports, go for a walk...

In a normal Sunday I get up late and have breackfast. I love eating toast with
milk. After I go to the sports centre to practise tennis. There, I meet with my
friends. Then I have lunch. My favourite food is rice. Next I watch TV. I like
watching films, specially thrillers.
I realy like Sunday it's like a very little vacations on a normal week!!

UNIT4.
WILDLIFE IS IN DANGER. SAVE LEOPARDS
Leopards are powerful big cats. They look like lions, tigers, and jaguars.

Because of the hunt, the leopard is strong and comfortable in tres. Leopards can hunt from
trees. They hunt at night and go after other animals like antelope, deer, and pigs, hiding and
walking slowly and silently in tall grass. leopards often attack dogs and, occasionally, people
where human live. Leopards are strong swimmers and happy in water, where they sometimes
eat fish or crabs. They live in Africa, Asia, India and China

UNIT 5. AN EMAIL ABOUT YOUR SCHOOL

Dear John

I am in the first level at highschool. Our classroom is on the second floor of the
school. There are twenty-one desks in the classroom and two pupils sit at each
desk.
The teacher’s desk is in the front of the pupils’ desks. The blackboard is on the
wall to the left of teacher..There are four very large windows on the side of the
room opposite to the door, so we open the windows during the break between
lessons.
There are pictures and maps on the walls in the classroom.There are
lampsabove the desks. In winter it gets dark early so we turn on the light.We start
our lessons at half past eight and finish at three o’clock. We have five lessons a
day. My favourite subject is Maths. Now, I am studying because I have a test this
Friday.
We have a short 10-minute break between lessons, but we have a long break
between the second and third lessons. During the long break we go to the dining-
room and have lunch.

 UNIT 6. A FOOD BIOG
I think that a healthy lifestyle is very important. I eat bread and cheese for
breakfast and I drink milk. At break time, I normally have a banana or an Apple. I
love things like chocalate, biscuits and cakes but I don`t eat them very much.
There are peope who is vegan. They don’t have any animal products in their diet.
That means thata vegan doesn’t eat meat, fish, eggs or dairy product. I can’t live
without meats. It is very important that our lifestyle is healthy but we are all
products. Also we should do exercise.
In my opinión a big food should have meat, fruit although I hate vegetables.
Cakes contain fat and they contain sugar. We shouldn’t eat them.

UNIT 7 A PROFILE OF A SPORTS STAR

Fernando Martin was a spanish basketball player. He began his career in
professional basketball in the Estudiantes team as pivot. He played for Real
Madrid in 1981.

With Real Madrid he won four league championships two Copas del Rey and a
Recopa de Europa. He defended in numerous occasions the colors of the
Spanish basketball team, with which he conquered a European teams and won
the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Thanks to his height
(2.04 meters) and his special physical and technical conditions, he could
alternate pivot and forward positions.

In 1987 he returned to Real Madrid, where he played until the time of his death,
caused in a traffic accident.
