1. Draw a tangent to the circle of radius 3cm and centre ‘O’, at any point ‘K’ on the circle.
2. A solid cuboid of dimensions 10 x 8 x 6 in cm is cut into small cubes of side 1 cm each. How
many such cubes are formed also find the increase in the total surface area as compared to
that of the original cuboid.
3. A test tube has diameter 20mm and height 15 cm. The lower portion is a hemisphere. Find
the capacity of the test tube.
4. A boy standing at a distance of 48 meters from a building
observes that the top of the building makes and angle of
elevation 300. Find the height of the building.
5. If 4A and 5A are acute angles and cosec4A = Sec5A. Find the
value of A.
6. Draw an equilateral triangle of radius 4 cm. Draw a circum circle

1. Draw the incircle of an equilateral triangle ABC with side 5.8cm.
2. The angle of elevation of the top of a tower from a point on the
ground is 300. After walking 30 m towards the tower the angle of
elevation becomes 600. What is the height of the tower?
3. Show that the points A(4,7), B(8,4), C(7,11) are the vertices of a
right – angled triangle.
4. ‘Rs. 5’ coins were made by melting a solid cuboidal block of metal
with dimensions 16 x 11 x 10 in cm. How many coins of thickness 2

5. A flagstaff stands on the top of a 5 meters high tower. From a point
on the ground, the angle of elevation of the top of the flagstaff is 60 0
and from the same point, the angle of elevation of the top of the
tower is 450. Find the height of the flagstaff.
6. The outer dimensions of a household fish aquarium in cm are 60.4 x
40.4 x 40.2. If the thickness of the glass used to make it is 2mm, find
the quantity of water that the aquarium will hold in liters.
