Rates and Policies

*A minimum charge shall be billed for each assignment. Assignments longer than two
hours will be billed by 15 minute increments at $25.00/hour.

Working Hours Interpreter Rate

Weekdays (7am-5pm) $50.00
Weekday Evenings (5pm-7am) $52.00
Weekend Days (7am-5pm) & Last-Minute Requests $54.00
Weekend Evenings (5pm-7am) $56.00

Deaf-Blind Rates
Any assignment in Deaf-Blind interpreting will be increased by $2.

Travel Time
Travel time (portal to portal) is included in the charges for each assignment. Mileage and travel time
will also be charged for assignments, 57.5 cents per mile, outside the seven-county Twin Cities Metro
(Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington).

Cancellation
Appointments canceled with less than a 48-hour business day notification (8:00am-5:00pm M-F) for
any reason or due to a no-show by any of the consumers (deaf or hearing) will be billed for the total
time scheduled, including applicable driving time/mileage and travel costs.

Team Interpreting and Breaks

For requests requiring more than an hour of continuous interpreting, it may be necessary to assign
more than one interpreter. Similarly, a team of more than one interpreter may be needed to meet the
varying needs of the consumers involved. For every three hours of work, a ten-minute break is
requested for team interpreters.

Pro-Bono Work
Pro-Bono work will be agreed upon and negotiated by both parties prior to accepting an assignment.
This includes volunteer interpreting assignments.

Last Minute Requests

Every effort will be made to accommodate last minute requests (less than 24-hour notification) for
interpreting services. However, applicable rates will apply and priority will be given to requests made
in advance.
