1 | Base fluids and thickeners for fire-resistant hydraulic fluids
The base fluid or thickener is the heart of any fire-resistant hydraulic formulation, deter-
mining the relevant viscosity profile. Clariant is one of the world’s leading suppliers of
water-soluble polyalkylene glycols (PAGs) as thickening agents/base lubricants for HFC,
HFC-E and HFD formulations and polyol esters/phosphoric acid esters for HFD-U formu-
lations and HFA-components.
Common to all products is their high quality standard, achieved through intensive research
and development, modern production methods and constant quality monitoring.
