First of all, I would like to introduce myself. I am named Nadia Larastri Almira, but my friends
and families call me Mia. Recently, I have been running my life as a senior in medical school of Andalas
University, Padang, Indonesia. I am writing in regard to the student exchange program provided by
Standing Committee on Research Exchange (SCORE).
Becoming a researcher has been my dream since I was a kid. Unlike any other medical students,
I look forward to work in a laboratory. That is why I joined CIMSA (Center for Indonesian Medical
Students Activities) and be a part of SCORE, a standing committee based on research and exchange.
I have learn about respiraoty system on June 2016. I have learned about its neoplasma cases
and how its cases are really important and the prevalence of its cases are high. Therefore, I am
interested in immunology division and choosing “Liquid biopsy methods to investigate genetic markers
in lung cancer” as my project.
I see myself as a constantly changing person. Myself 5 minutes ago is not myself right now. I like
to upgrade myself to the next level. By joining this program I hope I could improve my knowledge, my
skills, my way of thinking, and how I see the world. I could also share my thoughts, and also able to learn
a lot from other people’s points of view.
