 Reflection 2

Why we study sociology? Because sociology helps

you to gain new perspective to the world and
yourself. This new way allows you to look at the life
with scientific or systemic way rather using your
common sense, like what happened at the social
media. The sociological perspective will allow you to
look beyond your common sense or believes and to
know the meaning behind human actions.

The sociological imagination which is more

important than the sociological perspective. It allows
you to view your life within a larger social or historical
context; In other words, to connect your privet or
personal life with the social or historical conditions;
For example, if you are employer and you lost your
job you may think it as a personal problem, but
actually it is a problem to millions of people and it
might be due to a social problem.
