This action research was conducted to study the effectiveness of 6D box in increasing
the reading skill and writing skill of capital letter ’G’, ’M’, ’N’ and ’Q’ and small
letter ’g’, ’m’, ’n’ dan ’q’ among the preschool children. Researcher carried out
diagnostic test, document analysis, observation and interview in order to find out the
achievement level of preschool children and detect the preschool children who have
problem in identification and differentiation of capital letter and small letter for certain
letter. Based on the results analysed, researcher involved four participants consisted
of a male children and three female children. Researcher carried out three times
intervention through applying innovation on the participants within the research period.
They involved in four games and two practices of the 6D box. In the process of
collecting data, researcher used three types of data collecting methods which are
observation, test and document analysis. The results clearly proved that 6D box is
able to increase the reading skill and writing skill among the preschool children.
