I am interested in applying for the high school English teaching position at Harwood Career
Preparatory High School. I graduated from Arizona State University as an English major in 2020.
My past work experience consists mainly of customer service jobs. Because of my extensive
experience with customer service, the skills gain from such experience, and my degree in the
field of English, I feel that I would be a good candidate for your open position.

I have experience with customer service in a few different locations. I am now working as a
sales consultant at Office Depot. I also have experience working in an entertainment store, a
clothing store, and a pizza restaurant. I have an IC3 Digital Literacy Certification and a Gold
National Career Readiness Certificate. I think that my experience with customers in different
settings will be and asset to your school because I will be fit to handle many different types of
students. My certifications show that I am capable of learning new things and have necessary
knowledge of technology which is crucial to becoming an innovative educator.

I intend to combine my degree in the field, my customer service experience, and the knowledge
that I have gained from my certifications to be the best instructor I can be to the students of
your school. I would welcome an interview and hope to hear from you at your earliest
