SWC Lesson Reflection (Completed after EVERY lesson taught)

Select (S):

I taught today Math lesson and I was about shapes to KG 1 section A children, I begin with a warmer
activity with singing a song and make some exercises, then show the students samples of the shapes with
the flash cards with saying their names and repeating. After that I stick the flash cards on the white board
to let them see the shapes all the day and remember them.

Describe (D):

The lesson was for kindergarten 1 section A, I taught the lesson in the circle time and in the activities
areas. In this lesson I tried to achieve my goal which was to let them understand and know each shape and
the name of it. The students understand the shapes, they learn the names and they did the activities.

Analyze (A):

My teaching was related to the students prior understanding, the students recognize the shapes because
they saw them everywhere so some of them knows the names of the shapes, in this lesson I tried to engage
the students by making a warmer up activity for them by singing a song and making some exercises.

Appraise (A):

KG1 A students like to discover anything they see, so a shapes lesson for them was a good experience and
they like the lesson and participate while I’m asking and teaching them. The lesson meets my
goals because they understand at the end of the lesson each shape and the name of it, they are able know
to recognize the shapes.
Transform (T):

In the future, I might engage the students in different way such as; making small activity in the circle time
area. I can make something that will attract their attention more and let them focus and understand in a
funny way. I helped them today to recognize the shapes and to know the names of them, now they are able
to remember the shapes and recognize them if they see them anywhere.
