Critique – Class Art Critique


Assessment Summary

Brainstorm Students will be asked about prior knowledge of the following: Portrait
drawing, charcoal, and graphite mediums of art. This will be a class
discussion, and will allow for all students to ask questions and share
ideas/thoughts.
Flashcards Students will be instructed to study ready made online flashcards before
their given quiz. All vocabulary on flashcards will be tested on quiz.
Quiz A quiz regarding the artists, techniques, mediums, and general basic art
information taught in class will be written on the quiz. Only
ideas/terminology taught will be quizzed.
Webercise Webercise assignment is to help students understand the mediums they will
be using. Additional techniques, and tips will be learned through this
assignment.
Graphic Organizer The graphic organizer is completed to help students organize their thoughts
and planning and in addition to understand the art critique process.
Project – Drawing The initial drawing project will test the students’ artistic skills. This will be
where the student applies his or her direct learning. Strict directions have
been created and ready made available.
Critique The class critique will be held in class, after students have completed his or
her projects. Students will put their new learned critique skills to work.
