Task One: Experiment

Students are required to study whether serial position effect facilitates us in retaining the
information or not.

Serial position effect:-

Introduction
Ability to recall items words, due to position of items in list is called serial position effect. Items
near the beginning of the list are easier to recall than those in the middle the primacy effect.
Those near the end of the list are also earlier to recall than those in the middle the recent effect.
1. Instructions
I gave following instructions to them:-
I will loudly read 10 words in front of you.
2. After reading I will take brief pause of 10 minutes.
3. Then u guys have to write those words which u can recall easily
4. After these instructions I performed my experiment and came to following conclusions.

Analysis
All participants showed easy access towards beginning and end words of list... but they find
difficulty to recall words far from beginning or end.. Hence proved serial position effect is
responsible for effective Recall...
