Teacher:Mrs.Sahraoui
Todd: Hello, Fred.
Todd: Fred, we are talking about parents and education and we are exactly speaking about homework. Do
you think parents should push their children to do their homework?
Fred: I think your question is very good one. I think pupils at preparatory schools are different from pupils
in primary schools. Now we are not children and we should be very responsible. what I mean by being a
responsible student is that the parents don't have to tell their children to do their homework or push them .
Pupils should know what they have to do, and so homework should not be a big problem for a responsible
student.
Todd: So, you are saying that students should study on their own without being pushed by their parents.
Fred :Yes , they should! Sometimes parents are too strict and pushy ,they can push them to hate school .
Fred: They should be told to study , but they should not be pushed otherwise they won't do well
at school , they must know that to succeed they should do their homework regularly without
being pushed !
Todd: Alright ,and as a teacher, I think pupils should listen to their parents because parents know
what is good for their children too , but parents should be understanding and not too pushy .
