1. Set slot center marks as shown

1. Auto insert on creation (turn on only list center marks, all others
are off)

1. Set Dual dimension length from None to .1
v. Line Style
1. Set stitch line to A.3,-.3
vi. Line Thickness
1. Thin - .006
2. Normal - .012
3. Thick - .024
d. Save your file as Your Name.drwdot
2. Title Block Template (.slddrt)
a. Use Form B-5.slddrt as starting point
i. Note – You may have to go to sheet properties to turn on Display Sheet
Format in order to see the title block and border.
b. Turn on the Grid and set the grid snap to help you draw your title block and
border.
c. Draw the border lines ½” top, left & bottom, 1” left and make them thin lines.
d. Title Block Information: Use the figure below to draw the title block. Make the
bounding box lines thick and the interior lines normal. Adjust any measurements
as necessary.

i. Name and address of the company or design activity (Figure A). Adjust
size as necessary to fit Company Logo. Insert a company logo image.
ii. Title of the drawing (Figure B). Text size .250 inches. Link to Part File
Name.
iii. Drawing number (Figure C). Link to Current Sheet property
iv. Names and dates of the drafters, checker, issue date, contract number,
etc. (Figure D). Create a row each for Drawn By: and Checked By:.
Create a Date column next to each. Create a text box in each area that
can be used to manually input text. Also, add tolerance information.
Adjust size as necessary.
v. Design approval, when subcontractors are used (Figure E). Add the text
Design App:. Do not add a text box. Adjust size as necessary.
vi. Additional approval block (Figure F). Change this to show Third angle
projection. Insert image. Adjust size as necessary.
vii. Predominant drawing scale (Figure G). Link to sheet scale.
viii. Federal supply code for manufacturers (FSCM) number (Figure H). Insert
the text, but do not add a link.
ix. Drawing sheet size letter designation (Figure J). Link to format size.
x. Actual or estimated weight of the item (Figure K). Link to part material
weight.
xi. Sheet number, if there are multiple sheets in the set (Figure L). Link to
Total Sheets.
xii. Use the Define or Edit Title Block command to define the area where the
manual text fields are to be used.
xiii. Save your file as Your Name.slddrt. Print the title block and email both
file to me.
