Hi Takashi,
Here is the latest version of what I created to score the measurements from the spatial - 4 values test charts.

After you save the measurement in ColorPort as shown in the screenshot, you should copy and paste that data
into the respective worksheet inside of Excel. (e.g. cyan measurements should be pasted into the ‘c meas'
worksheet.)

Let me know if you have any questions and we can see what changes and improvements can be made to the
testing process.

Hi Xiaomei,

Jeff says that the tool is almost ready and you know how to measure with the device.

I have 4 outputs here. Can you help measuring the pages?

Thanks,
Takashi

Hi Jeff,

No problem. Let me know when it’s ready, please.

Thanks,

Hi Takashi,
Sorry for the delay, I will have it ready in the afternoon.

I’m working on getting something in Excel to show the density info and it should be done to give to you by
tonight. In the mean time, Xiaomei has measurement data of that test chart for a particular engine; just
no comparison functionality yet.

The design of the sheet looks to be exactly what the story called for. The input values in the the test charts I
designed contain 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%.

Jeff is working on developing some right now. If we don’t have such tools immediately, we can simply import the data into
Excel and plot the histogram for each color.

Hi Dean,

Richard gave us the following story in this sprint.

Story – Constant Patch Page

I, Richard, product owner, want to know the variability of density for a constant patch printed in different places on a
page and to know the average density so that we have a target (goal).

Acceptance Criteria:
1. Print and measure the same constant color across the width and height of a large page size (e.g. 11x17
tabloid).
2. Have at least 4 different constant colors such as something near 25%, 50% and 75% as well as 100%.
3. Determine the average, minimum and maximum density of all patches (or graph the distribution).

Xiaomei sent me your patch page attached to this email.
I plan using the page for the story. Do we have any tools to evaluate the variability of density on the page?

Thanks,
Takashi
