ICARIA HIGH SCHOOL:

Icaria high school, is located in Barcelona, to be exact in Vila

Olimpica.

Our high school has been open for 35 years, meaning it was
built in 1984.

In Spain, you start high school when we are 11-12 depending

is you are born in the beginning or the end of the month. Once
you have started 1 year, until 4 year here that is called
“secondaria” and after that there is “batxillerat/ cicle” and
those are the last 2 years before going to university.
Our high school, I know for being able to do vela once you are
in 2n year, that meant that we do 2 hours one after the other
and you can chose to normal gym, or you can do 2 hours of
vela. The vela that the school gives us the opportunity to do,
includes neoprene, life jackets, and the boats.
Our school, provides lunch time once classes are over (if your
kid stays you have to pay), it has a library, witch is open
during our breaks. As normal schools have, it provides enough
teachers for the hole school.
