BFP OPERATION

BFP LUBE OIL SKID

Safety Interlock
1 Lube Oil header pressure > 3.0 kg/cm2
2 Lube oil pump differential pressure < 5000 mmwc
3 Lube oil tank temperature < 50 degC
Initial Start up:
1 Ensure the Oil level in tank > 60%.
2 Open the suction & Discharge valve of lube oil pump.
3 Open the valves before & after the filter and lube oil cooler.
4 Ensure electric source supplied for motor.
5 Ensure Cooling water supply and return line valves open and system properly vented.
6 Ensure Minimum Recirculation & balancing line discharge valve to be kept open.
Operation:
1 Switch on the System.
2 Ensure NO oil leakage.
3 Ensure the oil flow through the line from rota meter.
4 Start water flow into the heat exchanger (Oil Cooler)
5 Now the system is ready for use
BFP SAFTEY INTERLOCK.
1 Motor winding temp < 130 deg C.
2 Motor bearing DE and NDE temp < 110 deg C.
3 Pump bearing DE and NDE temp < 90 deg C.
4 Pump DE and NDE side vibration < 7 mm/s
5 Motor DE and NDE side Vibration < 7 mm/s
BFP PROCESS INTERLOCK.
1 Feed water line to pump suction DP < 3000 mmwc.
2 Deaerator level > 20 %.
3 BFP Suction valve open feed back.
4 BFP Cooling water Pressure > 2 kg/cm2.
5 BFP suction pressure > Corresponding the Saturation temp. (Value shown on DCS)
BFP START permission.
1 BFP oil skid pressure > 0.6 kg/cm2
2 BFP oil temp <50 deg C.
3 BFP SAFTEY INTERLOCK OK.
4 BFP PROCESS INTERLOCK OK.
BFP TRIP INTERLOCK.
1 BFP oil skid pressure < 0.6 kg/cm2
2 BFP oil temp >50 deg C.
3 BFP Oil skid filter DP > 5000 mmwc.
4 BFP SAFTEY INTERLOCK NOT OK.
5 BFP PROCESS INTERLOCK NOT OK.

NOTE: OIL SKID PUMP AUTO CHANGE OVER WHEN OIL PRESSURE < 0.8 kg/cm2. IF PUPM IN
AUTO MODE.
