As you see in their work, they can trace the
letters nicely but it is still challenging to
write the whole word without dotted outline.
With practice, they will eventually be able to
write without guiding outline!

For the ‘What do penguins eat?’ worksheet,


they correctly recognized the foods which
they learned during my lesson. One student
wanted to color and I said, ‘Why not?’
Activity 2: P is for penguin

The next activity was an


art activity which
students were asked to
fill in the back of the
penguin with black tissue
paper and front of the
penguin with cotton balls.
My students had to
crumple small pieces of
black tissue paper and
glue them which involves
fine motor skills.
