Objectives of the Week

This week students should be able to:

°To discuss the student’s previous knowledge


about seeds.
○ To hold the balance very still for 3 to 5
seconds.
○ To retell familiar stories
○ To practice counting and writing numbers
from 0 to 10.
○ To recall and repeat short vowel sounds.
○ To decode, encode and write CVC words
formed with the letters (s, a, t, i, p, n).
○ To recall irregular sight words: I, like.
○ To use fingers and hands to make paper balls.
To develop fine motor control by making
paper balls using their fingers.
Monday 17th

Process:
-The Teacher will have to explain that tongue twisters are phrases that are
challenging to say because the words all sound similar.
-The Teacher will have to write an example on chart paper.

Process:
-Students will make a puzzle making a math connection between the
numbers on the pictures and the numbers on the puzzle.
-Students have to match the pieces to the answer spaces provided. When
they are all pasted into position, the students will see the picture they have
created.

Process:
-The students will have to read the words and paste the pictures to
match the words.

Process:
-La maestra conversará sobre la diferencia de los animales domésticos y

Materials: Scissors, glue, construction, construction paper.


Process:
-The teacher will explain the parts of a book.
-The students will have to paste each part in a construction paper according
to the sequence.
-After students paste the parts of the book, they will show the final result.

Materials: Colored pencils, pencil.


Process:
-The Teacher will explain how to encode and decode CVC words and the
students will repeat the action of encoding and decoding CVC words with
the teacher.
-On their notebooks they will illustrate the CVC words vocabulary and
practice write the words (sat, pin, tap, sap, Pat, sip, nap, tip, pan).
MATH
Dinner party ITC (M61)
Materials: art pad, scissors, glue
Process:
-The teacher will help the students to plan a dinner party.
-The students will to talk about what they will serve and who they would like
to invite to the dinner.
-Students will discuss healthy food choices and foods that are eaten only
occasionally, such as cookies and cake.
-Students will be able to distribute the dinner plate choosing more healthy
food options than unhealthy food options.

Fine Motor Skills


Crepe paper sunflower

Materials: construction paper, markers, glue, crepe paper.


Process:
-The teacher will draw a sunflower shape in a construction paper.
-Students will have to make small balls with crepe paper and paste them on
the sunflower.

Process:
-The teacher will ask the students to create letters in the different textures.
-The teacher will be using vocabulary such as bumpy, scratchy, and soft to
describe how each letters feels.
-The teacher will discuss the characteristics of each letter and prompt the
students to describe the textures.

Process:

Imaginary Adventure (ITC M36)

Materials: Materials to make an adventure course, such as a plastic or


carton box, sheet or long piece of cloth (river); large plant (tree), the
classroom tables.
Process:
-The teacher will explain that the students will pretend to go exploring. Tell
them to watch carefully for some obstacles in the way.
-The teacher can also use photographs to introduce geographic features
that might be unfamiliar.
-Every time the students finds a tree they will find a number, students have to
plant seed according to the number they found.
-After the adventure, the teacher will be asking students how many
obstacles they found, how many trees they saw.
-Choose a leader student to demonstrate each action, such as going over
the mountain or through the tunnel.
-Students have to sing the song:
”We’re going to be explorers,
We’re going to be explorers,
We’re going to be explorers,
And have some fun today.”

Materials: Popsicle sticks, glue, black beans.


Process:
-The teacher will explain the students that they are going to plant a garden
inside the classroom in a sensory bin of your choice. (I will be using black
beans).
-The teacher will cut apart seed packets and flowers.
-The students have to place popsicle sticks behind flowers.
-The students will draw a number and then plant that many flowers. Students
can pretend to water them too.

FINE MOTOR SKILL


Earth day Activity
Materials: Pencil colors, scissor, glue
Process:
-The teacher will give the students the worksheet where they are going to
write or make a draw of what they can do to help the Earth.
-Students will have to make a crown, they also have to paint and paste the
pictures in the each box.

Sight Words

Materials: Colored pencils, pencil


Process:
-The teacher will explain the meaning of each sight words.
-The students have to trace the focus word on two writing lines. Next, they
practice writing the sight word 3 times in 3 different sentences. They can then
read each sentence.
-The students can color the images.
