NCKU Distinguished International Student Scholarship  本校優秀國際學生獎助學金 
(For official enrolled students  針對已正式註冊學生) 
 
1. I am interested in studying at NCKU, and how to apply for the NCKU scholarship?   
我想就讀成大，但要怎麼申請成大外籍學生獎學金呢？ 
Ans: The University International Student Admissions Committee will review the application documents 
to evaluate scholarship eligibility for the first academic year. Applicants do not need to submit any 
additional application documents for this scholarship.   
 
2. I am not issued any scholarship in my first studying year, and when am I qualified to apply for the 
scholarship?  在我第一年就讀時並未核發獎學金，請問我何時可以申請呢？.
Ans: According to the Regulations of the NCKU Distinguished International Student Scholarship, 
students who have studied officially for one or more than one academic year are qualified to apply for 
the scholarship in the following semesters/years.   
 
3. I am a first‐year enrolled bachelor student without NCKU scholarship, when can I apply for the NCKU 
scholarship?  我是已註冊的大一學生且無成大獎學金，請問我何時可申請呢？
Ans: According to the Regulations of the NCKU Distinguished International Student Scholarship, Item 5, 
Bachelor’s students may be eligible to apply for the scholarship every semester after the first academic 
year. Students must also maintain a qualifying average score to apply for the scholarship.   
The requirements for eligibility are stated below:   
a. Must have an average grade of 70 or above in the preceding semester;   
b. Have ranked within the top 40% in class or ranked within top 40% of academic performance 
(average grade) among the international students.   
 
4. I am a first‐year master student, and the average of my first academic year is 79.60. Am I qualified to 
apply for the scholarship?  我是碩一生，而我第一學年學業成績總平均為 79.60。那我是否符合資
格申請該獎學金呢？ 
Ans: According to the Regulation of the NCKU Distinguished International Student Scholarship, Item 5, 
Master’s students must have completed a minimum of 15 required course credits for graduation in the 
preceding academic year, with an average grade of 80 or above and without any official record of 
misconduct. Thus, you are not qualified to apply for the scholarship. There are no exceptions available 
to you for scholarship application.

6. I already have the NCKU scholarship, is it possible to receive another scholarship?  我已經有成大獎
學金了，我還可以申請其他獎學金嗎?
Ans: Yes, but the scholarships you may receive are limited to non‐government scholarships i.e. 
scholarships issued by corporations. Announcements regarding these scholarships will be announced 
on the Student Assistance Division webpage.  可以，但是你只能拿私人機構給的。相關資訊會公布
在生活輔導組網頁上。
 
7. When can I expect to receive my scholarship money?  我什麼時候會拿到獎學金呢? 
Ans: Due to the fact that the scholarship applications must first be applied for, evaluated, student 
information must be collected, and the entire school’s final budget proposal must pass before 
scholarships may be remitted, the wait time for remittal may take up to three months. After the first 
remittal, the scholarship money will be transferred to you on the 26th~28th of every month.  由於申請
獎學金的流程複雜，學生必須申請完獎學金後等三個月才能拿到 獎學金。之後的每月 26‐28 日會
拿到當月獎學金。

9. I am a Taiwan Scholarship recipient, and can I get the NCKU scholarship? 
我是臺灣獎學金受獎生，我是否可以領取成大獎學金呢？
Ans: According to the Regulation of the NCKU Distinguished International Student Scholarship, it is 
stated that “Those who receive scholarships or grants for international students offered by Taiwan 
government agencies are not eligible to receive this scholarship. Any recipients of this scholarship 
found to be acting in violation of this rule will be disqualified from receiving this scholarship, and must 
return the funds they have already received.” 
 
10. If I am a recipient of the Taiwan Scholarship, am I allowed to take a part‐time job? 
如果我是台灣獎學金受獎生，我是否可以打工呢?
Ans: Yes, but only for the MOFA & MOE Taiwan Scholarship recipients. MOST Scholarship recipients 
currently are not allowed to hold part‐time jobs.   
If you want to take a part‐time job, you must first apply for a work permit.   
Come to the ISAD office to pick up a blank work permit application form, fill the information out and 
provide the necessary documents, and we here at ISAD will send the application to the Labor 
Department for you. Alternatively, you can pick up blank application forms from our office, get the 
necessary documents stamped and verified, and upload the application forms online. The mailing 
process will take around two to three weeks, while the online process will be quicker. The online
