Example 1:
Solve the following system of linear equations by substitution.
2x – 2y = –2
x + y = 24

Example 2:
Solve the following system of linear equations by method of
substitution.
y =16– 4x
2x + y/2 = 12

Example 3:
Given two equations in two variables x and y. Find the values of
x and y that satisfy these equations simultaneously.
2x – y = 10 ------(1)
