Siemens introduced the concept of connectivism in 2005 when he posted in an article that the

processes of learning does not simply happen within an individual, but within and across the

networks. Then in the next years many others gave their concepts through conferences, but the

connectivism was reconsidered and Siemens discussed its technological implications writing some

books, two famous of them are “Handbook of Emerging Technologies for Learning” and “knowing

knowledge”. According to Siemens´ theory, the connectivism could be connected among nodes,

more exactly five nodes that are recognized in three types: neural, conceptual and external. As

applied to my topic, with this theory I would expect my independent variable: Technological

backgrounds (low effectiveness of technology vs high effectiveness of technology) places, use,

quality and kind of technologic tools increase the possibility to explain the dependent variables of

learning through technology and the internet, because they will demonstrate to improve learning

abilities like reading, writing, speaking, listening, arithmetic, creativity, innovation,

communication and collaboration, reaching a high level of development of knowledge and the best

way to learn in this digital age. The connectivism is influential in the learning process because it

helps to understand the deposit of learning and knowledge, strength the importance of an actualized

and precise information and when the different institutions of education manage the use of digital

technology they will get better results in knowledge exams.
