2º ESO Warm-up

The warm-up is the set of exercises that are made before all physical activity. It is the first part of every training session or preparation for
competition. The warm-up starts slowly and gradually involves all muscles and body parts. The purposes of warming up are:

 To prevent injures

 To be ready to do our best

In order to warm up properly you should do some exercises that involve:

 Joints: for example moving neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, spine, hips, knees, ankles…

 Muscles:

o Doing soft strength exercises like pushups, squats, lunges…

o Stretching your muscles: calf, quadriceps, hamstrings, trunk, triceps, biceps, forearm……

 Heart & Respiratory system: for example walking, jogging, running, jumping, chasing games

TIPS FOR THE WARM-UP:

Intensity: gradually. Start slowly to avoid injures.

We have to get our heart rate to 100 or 120 bpm

Follow an order to not forget any part of the body.

Time depends on the posterior activity or sport.
