ILAGAN CITY

City of Ilagan (Corn Capital of the Philippines), is a 1st class city and capital of
the province of Isabela, Philippines. It was a first class municipality before it become a
city. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 145,568 people making it the
most populous city in the province. It holds the title as the most number of voters in the
province with 88,413 voters and also the fourth largest city in terms of land area in the
Philippines after Davao City, Puerto Princesa and Zamboanga City.
Vision
We envision ILAGAN as premier capital town, nationally and globally competitive, a home
that abounds with opportunities for growth to empowered Ilagueños.
Mission
Operate and sustain an autonomous Local Government Unit with responsive and
accountable local government structure, self – reliant and capable for self – deciding and
planning administrative, fiscal and development affairs effectively contributing to the
attainment of national goals and the Municipal vision of development.
There were 28 municipal mayors during its period as a municipality since 1904. The city’s
first mayor was Josemarie L Diaz in 2012. Its current mayor is Evelyn Catolico Diaz, PT,
RN since 2016.

CORDON

Municipality of Cordon, is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Isabela, Philippines.


According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 42,926 people. It is bounded by
Santiago City to the east and being the town nearest to Santiago City Proper, it became
a favored destination for local businessmen.
