Day 139 - Companion
Day 139 - Companion
for educators
2nd Corinthians 1:20-22
NIV - For no ma)er how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so
through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. Now it is God who makes both
us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his
Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
RSV - For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why we u)er the Amen
through him, to the glory of God. But it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has
commissioned us; he has put his seal upon us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a
9
guarantee.
KJV - For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by
us. Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath
3
also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
LB - He carries out and fulfills all of God’s promises, no ma)er how many of them there are;
and we have told everyone how faithful he is, giving glory to his name. It is this God who has
1
made you and me into faithful ChrisMans and commissioned us apostles to preach the Good
News. He has put his brand upon us—his mark of ownership—and given us his Holy Spirit in
our hearts as guarantee that we belong to him and as the first installment of all that he is
going to give us.
Y
had promised us eternal life. Your calling as an educator is merely a first installment of His
riches that He will bestow upon you. What a great company of saints we are together to touch
the next genera9on with His Love and Truth. May you teach like Jesus every day.
