Decrepit Mimic Decrepit Mimic

A mimic may find itself trapped in an inaccessible dungeon, Medium monstrosity (shapechanger), neutral
with a weak ecology and few (if any) adventurous visitors.
Unable to migrate to a more populous dungeon, the mimic Armor Class 12 (natural armor)
will lay dormant in object form and begin to starve after a few Hit Points 44 (8d8 + 8)
months. Speed 15 ft.
Such a weakened mimic has restricted use of the
capillaries it uses to give its body color and texture. It resorts
to simple shapes in its natural stone tones such as a pile of STR DEX CON INT WIS CHA
masonry blocks, a short set of steps or simply a patch of floor. 15 (+2) 12 (+1) 13 (+1) 5 (-3) 13 (+1) 8 (-1)
While still convincing in appearance, the mimic may have
gone dormant in an inappropriate place so the wary Skills Stealth +3
adventurer may notice something "off". Damage Immunities acid
This decrepit monstrosity is no longer able to produce the Condition Immunities prone
adhesive that mimics normally use to catch their prey. Senses darkvision 60 ft., passive Perception 11
Instead of exuding sticky slime, its glands produce a runny, Languages —
white fetid oil. Through incontinence, an encounter with this Challenge 1/2 (100 XP)
mimic can produce a slick of this fluid that causes irritation
to the skin. Shapechanger (1/Day). The mimic can use its action
to polymorph into an object or back into its true,
amorphous form. Its statistics are the same in each
form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't
transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.
False Appearance (Object form only). While the
mimic remains motionless, it is indistinguishable
from an ordinary object.
