BROOKLYN CEASE AND DESIST ZONE LIST PETITION

We, the undersigned residents of Brooklyn Community Board 17, represented by both New York State Senator Kevin Parker (21st
Senate District) and New York State Senator Zellnor Myrie (20th Senate District) hereby formally request that the geographical area
known as Brooklyn Community Board 17 be designated a Cease and Desist Zone. We support the efforts our State Senators have
made and want to amplify them with our direct request for Cease and Desist Zone status. We want to opt out of harassment, targeting,
unwanted solicitation and incessant phone calls by developers and real estate brokers/agents in what can only be considered a siege on
our homes and community. We are concerned about what the future of our neighborhood will be with the threat of community over-
development, displacement and a deteriorating quality of life. Therefore, we must insist that we be granted the same opportunity to
opt out of this unwanted contact that other neighborhoods have been afforded so that the people of our community may live in peace.
