Where taste meets the myth
-Palembang Cuisine-
Malbi – Sumaterans traditional dish, stew made with sweet soy sauce
Pindang Tulang – processed and cooked with basic ingredients beef ribs
Laksan – fish cake similar to pempek served in rich coconut milk base soup
and sprinkled with crispy fried shallot
Tekwan – fish soup made from the dough of fish and tapioca served with
shrimp, mushroom, rice vermicelli, and sprinkled with sliced frwsh celery,
scallion and shallot.
Burgo – Burgo uses rice flour as a basic ingredient, and the this served with
coconut milk and sprinkle of fried onion
Celimpungan – small pempek balls made from fish and dough mixture,
sevred with coconut milk soup
Lenggang – similar to Pempek and Tekwan but served with another way, a
traditional fish cake baked filled in daun pisang
