CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Disability labels can be stigmatizing and perpetuate false stereotypes where students who
are disabled are not as capable as their peers. In general, it is appropriate to reference the
disability only when it is pertinent to the situation. For instance, it is better to say “The student
who has a disability” rather than “The disabled student” because it places the importance on the
student, rather than on the fact that the student has a disability.

There are many students who are having their disabilities and difficulties but despite of
their difficulties they are still motivated to go to school because they've manage to achieve all
those things that they hoped for their life. They have a goals and or a destination that they want
to reach. Specifically, those learners with physical difficulties like Difficulty in moving/walking
which are unable to perform as a consequence of physical and mental unfitness.

The Researchers conducted this study to know the effects of those learners with
disabilities to their learning practices and also to know the teaching strategy of the teachers for a
learner with disabilities.
