Overall Purpose of Job:


 As a modeling expert you will be involve in creating & modifying statistical models to meet client as well
as organization needs. The statistical model will be on identifying anomalies in the data & provide
insights to drive business outcomes
 You will assist onshore and offshore teams, and client team by providing them tactical support including
Data Validation, developing OPEX documents, Preparing current state analysis presentations, preparing
future state analysis documents, monitoring progress of the project and publishing reports
 You should have good understanding of Inventory Analytics/Spare Parts Forecasting and
Planning/Service Center Network/ Supply Chain/ Optimization methods and approaches.

Responsibilities/Authorities:
Operational Responsibilities
 Responsible to generate models based on business requirements
 Should work closely with the data scientist, onshore and offshore team to understand different business
scenario, automate and create models in “R”
 Should be able to identify anomalies in data using different statistical tool
 Should have the overall understanding of warranty management, forecasting, Supply Planning
 Suggest model change based on the change in business dynamic & data trends
 Responsible to document all the changes made in the models & business requirements
 Responsible to generate forecast for warranty, based on history
 Should be able to generate models to understand parts requirement based on history
 Leverage root causes identified during Problem Resolution process to create new rules to automate
emerging issue detection
 Observe emerging Issue detection process and look for ways to continuously improve it
 Support ad-hoc complex analysis
 Leverage multiple “R” tools to conduct more complex warranty analysis: “R” Enterprise Guide, “R”
Enterprise Miner, “R” Text Miner, “R” Base programming.
 Automate ad-hoc complex analysis proven useful to enable junior analyst to use them on a recurrent
basis. Train Junior Analyst on new ad-hoc analysis developed by Analyst Experts.

 Explore new root cause analysis methodologies with warranty expert analysts and reliability
engineers as a way to continuously improve the warranty analytics team capabilities
 Monitor and interpret process KPI’s

People Management Responsibilities

 Need to be a good team player and lead, involve the team members for smooth day to day operation
 Guide and mentor Analysts Juniors in their path to become Analysts Experts
 Work with managers to allocate workload and assignments to the team
 Accountable for coaching, mentoring and motivating managers and specialists

Job Requirements:

Technical Skills
 Experienced in “R” modelling in warranty / spare parts management area
 Experienced Base “R” programmer
 Experienced Enterprise Guide / Enterprise Miner User
 Experienced in Analytics Solutions as a developer
 Experience in statistical/predictive modelling techniques like regression, multivariate analysis,
forecasting, and reliability models, clustering techniques using “R” or any other statistical tool such
SPSS, Statistical, JMP
 Expert level capability in use of desktop software (MS Office Suite, with focus on analytical skills in
Excel)

 Strong Verbal and written communication in English

Education Qualifications / Experience


 MBA/Masters in Statistics or Supply Chain/ Engineering Degree
 Experience in Hi-Tech, Mobile handset, Heavy Equipment industry
 Experience in managing after-sales service chain in warranty, reliability and product quality
 Work experience of 5-8 years of experience

Nice to Have (one or more of the following)


 Knowledge of quality manufacturing processes
 Experienced on using point-and-click applications, such as a Web browser
