EMK Small Grants 2019

Application form
Proposals should be submitted in the form of one email to grantsubmission@emkcenter.org
noting in email subject “EMK Small Grants 2019 – [Title of the project and
Organization]” in the subject line. Please ensure that all the required information and
necessary links are attached to/enclosed in that one email. To be considered, complete
applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.
1. Title:
Please provide a concise title, which captures the goals of your proposal.
e.g. “Leadership training for women entrepreneurs”.

2. Overview of the plan:

Please provide a short overview of your proposal (in one or, two paragraphs). Do include the
overall goals of the project, who will be involved, what steps will be taken and what the outcome
should be. Please provide as much quantifiable information as possible.
e.g. “Two master-trainers will train 50 women, which will lead to development for over 200
Bangladeshis”.

3. Goals/objectives and rationale:

In one or, two paragraphs, please clearly explain the goals/objectives of your proposal. Do provide
background information on why you have chosen to create/pursue this project/initiative.

Consider the following questions:
- What is the need for this work?
- How can the problems/challenges/issues best be addressed?
- What, realistically, can we accomplish?

4. Capability/Sustainability statement:
Describe in one or two paragraph how and why you/your team/your organization are best qualified
to put an Edward M. Kennedy Small Grant to good use.

5. Implementation plan and time-line:

Provide all relevant details of how your proposal will be implemented and identify the major
phases/milestones with target dates for achieving these.

6. Important instructions:

-Only online application will be acceptable. Hard copy submissions will not be acceptable
-Application deadline: by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.
Applications sent after the mentioned time will be automatically deleted

-Project Completion Between January 1, 2019 and June 30, 2019.

- Email subject must be “EMK Small Grants 2019 – [Title of the project and
Organization]”
