a) Among the models of Corporate Governance around the world, Anglo-American Model,
German Model and Japanese Model get popularity. To get more practical knowledge,
prepare an assignment on “Comparison of Corporate Governance Models” around the
world and suggest a model that best suit for Bangladeshi’s companies.

b) Corporate Diplomacy can be understood as a range of activities aiming at generating

favorable conditions for carrying out firms' activities and accomplish organizational
goals. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) requires decision makers to take actions
that protect and improve the welfare of society as a whole along with their own interests.
Hence. Corporate Diplomacy and CSR can be linked to achieve the organization goals.
Prepare an assignment on “CSR as a tool for Corporate Diplomacy”.

3. Answer the following 05 (five) Short Questions and submit them through the
above E-mail on the due date and time. 5 x 5 = 25

a) Can Corporate Governance bring any benefit and create favorable situation for any business?
What is your point of view? If you support the statement, identify and explain the benefits that
business organization can enjoy.

b) “While agency theory explains the manager’s self-interest, Stewardship Theory explains the
company’s interest”. Do you agree with the statement? If agree, elaborate the other difference
between “Agency Theory” and “Stewardships Theory” of corporate governance.

c) Just a decade, the companies in Bangladesh started practicing Corporate Governance Code.
Over the time, the experts and academicians find out barriers and challenges to Corporate
Governance practices in Bangladesh. Briefly discuss the major barriers and challenges to ensure
corporate governance in Bangladesh.

d) Business organizations can involve in different types of diplomacy to create favorable

situation either internally or externally and nationally or internationally. Briefly discuss all
possible types of corporate diplomacy that an organization can peruse.

e) “Corporate diplomacy” and “Lobbying” are same or different? If not same, discuss how they
are different with example.
