Debate Format:

Should Indonesian government or politics lay under the foundation of religion?

Round 1

Team A posits their position on the issue for 3 minutes (this part should be prepared
beforehand.)
Team B posits their position on the issue for 3 minutes (this part should be prepared
beforehand.)

Round 2

Team A responds to what Team B has stated for 2 minutes.

Team B responds to what Team A has stated for 2 minutes

Round 3

Team A and B are allowed to debate freely for a maximum of 6 minutes. Students are
reminded that the goal of this round is first and foremost to convince their audience, so
try to remain intelligible throughout. (Please maintain mutual respect and calm
demeanor)

Round 4

Team A delivers their closing arguments for 1 minute.

Team B delivers their closing arguments for 1 minute.
