Debate rules
1. The debate consists of three
rounds, 5 minutes each.
2. Each team has a maximum time of
one minute to present the
argument. The teacher checks the
time carefully.
3. Interrupting a speaker is forbidden.
4. After the speaker has finished the
argument delivery - the opposite
team has one minute to prepare
the counter argument and select
the speaker to deliver opposition
idea.
5. Speakers must change every round.
Instruction
1. Debates consist of three rounds (5 mins each).
2. Prepare at least three strong arguments for
and against textspeak as per your assignment
(10 mins).
3. Team A delivers argument (1 min)
4. Team B listens to the it and prepares the
contra-argument (1 min)
5. Team B delivers the opposite opinion (1 min)
6. Debates (2 mins)

The idea of these debates is to learn how to
support ideas with strong arguments even if
the idea itself contradicts your own beliefs.
