Hello Sir/Madam,

You must be well aware of the growing trend of Musical initiatives in Pakistan. Programs like coke
studio, Nescafe basement have been working as a leading player in the industry in this regard.
Unfortunately the folk music of Pakistan has always been ignored by the industry due to which not only
our folk music is fading away from the industry but also the artists who had been contributing to this
cause are now backing off and searching other professions to survive. Our music has always been
considered one of the best in the world in past and we have examples like Nusrat Fatah Ali Khan, Abida
Parveen etc who promoted pure Pakistani music internationally and showed a different side of Pakistan
with their melodies.

I have been working for this cause for the last 4 years and I have released 4 songs promoting Indigenous
Khowar (Indo Arian language spoken in Chitral and Northern Areas) language and dying music of
Hindukush. Those projects were highly successful and now it’s the next step to create wider impact by
fusing Contemporary Music with Folk sounds. In this regard we are taking 3 top notch musicians 1
producer and a video team from Karachi to Chitral for 15 days to design and produce 4 cultural songs
collaborating with local musicians and singer from the area. We will publish the content as a musical
series comprising of 4 episodes per season. The songs will be published one after another for the
duration of one month with full-fledged Marketing plans and supporting content made by professionals.
We will cover all the other areas after the successful completion of the first season.

“PEHCHAAN”is a musical series to promote pure Pakistani music in a most innovative way by fusing
modern instruments with ancient folk sound in the most organic way.

We have top TV channels, FM, Newspapers on board with us and they see a great potential in the
project to make it masses. We are seeking Sponsors for this project and sharing the idea with you with
great conviction that you will help us promote the pure ethnic sound from Pakistan and revive our
identity as peaceful Musical land.
