BUSWAK - the Catarman I Central School’s banner project is being

successfully carried out for almost two years since its conception. It is aimed at

strengthening and institutionalizing the varied wholesome activities envisaged

by the brilliant school leader, Dr. Imelda T. Valenzuela. For two years,

addressing academic performances of the institution’s learners had never been

easy if not for the constant and benevolent support of the stakeholders. Thus,

it became the basis in determining the strategies the teachers will employ

befitting the level of their learners. Moreover, it provides the pupils an avenue

to showcase their talents and skills while building their confidence and self-

esteem as well as developing social awareness in a young, tender age.

The diverse activities catering to the multiple intelligences of the pupils of

the institution are shown at the academic and extra-curricular events held at

the school such as the Math and Science Fair, National Reading Month and

English Month, Boy and Girl Scouts Encampment, Campus Journalism, and a

lot more. It truly gave the pupils different ways of learning since not everything

could actually be learned in the classroom alone. The wholesome activities were

created according to its level of priority and its relevance to the curriculum,

bearing in mind that it should alleviate the inconsistencies and difficulties

encountered by the learners in the academics.

On its final year, the school banner project BUSWAK hopes to provide

more opportunities for learning and development in the heart of every C1CS

learner.
