Clinical Laboratory

Since I could remember science has always intrigued my curiosity and has given
me the motivation to pursue a career in Medical Laboratory Science. I chose this
career path when I discovered that I could combine my love for science and my
desire for making a difference in my community. I will be completing a Bachelor’s
in Medical Laboratory Science from Arizona State University in May 2019. During
my clinical rotations, I acquired essential skills to successfully and accurately
perform a variety of procedures in a laboratory setting. I am knowledgeable in
complex and/or computerized microscopic, molecular, and/or cytometric
equipment to analyze prepared cellular and molecular specimens, calibrate
instrumentation, and validate the quality of assay. Throughout my undergraduate
career, I also acquired technology skills such as effectively using Microsoft Word,
Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to create presentations, infographics, and
graphic design.

I am hard working, self-motivating, and I enjoy being challenged in a busy work

environment. I am certain that I have the necessary skills to successfully do the
job adeptly and perform above expectations. I am confident that I can use my
background in medical laboratory science to excel in any medical laboratory
scientist position.
