VOCAL SOLO

MECHANICS:

1. Members of the Vocal Solo must be bona fide student of Jose Maria College.

2. The song must be in English based on Broadway songs only.

3. The contestant must wear an outfit that is appropriate to his or her chosen song.

4. Accompaniment should be in minus one format.

5. The piece must not exceed 5 minutes. If the performance exceeds, five (5) points will
be deducted from the total score.
6. Three winners will be declared as: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively.

7. Violation of any of the mechanics for this event is a ground for disqualification.

8. Declaration of winners shall be done during the awarding ceremonies.

9. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

CRITERIA:
 Voice Quality (Harmony, Timbre, Depth) 40 %

 Song Rendition (Originality and Interpretation) 30 %

 Showmanship (Stage Presence and Costume) 15 %

 Enunciation 15%
