Set & Pull Plugs - DRAFT

SECTION OBJECTIVE:

 Rig up Slickline on BRG A-5.


 Run 3.866’ AOFM Slickline Plug.
 Pressure test plug to 7,500 psi (Attempt to reset Packer).
 Bleed off N2 in Annulus and top fill with 8.8ppg Brine.
 Pull plug and pressure test tubing and annulus.

SITUATION:

 Swab valve, HMV, LMV, LV & TR-SSSV are in closed position.


 Well is not perforated and in shut in condition. Last CITHP is 0 psi.
 Top of Liner at: 10,063.7 ft MDRKB
 Fluid in the well : 8.8 ppg Potassium Chloride Brine
 4 ½” tubing x 9 5/8” casing annulus (above Production Packer) was pressure tested with N2 to
5,500psi / 30mins.
 4 ½” tubing (above AOF Nipple) was pressure tested to 6,100psi / 30mins with 8.8ppg brine.
 Tubing / liner / casing pressure test (below Production Packer) failed. Leak rate at 3500 psi ~69
psi/min & at 4,500 psi ~85 psi/min.
 BHT from MDT: ~302 F at 11,200 ft MD / 8564.82 ft TVD

PREPARATION:

Hess Completions:

Confirm status of tree valves, LV and TR-SSSV.

Halliburton Slickline:

Prepare lubricator/PCE for rig up. Prepare all tools for Slickline run.

Rig Crew:

Prepare to remove hatch cover on BRG A-5 (Slot #11).

Hook up cement unit test line to PKW 2-1/16” 10M outlet with WECO Fig 1502 lo-torc valves and A-annulus.

RU air tugger sheaves (beam clamp) below the drillfloor to position tugger wire directly over BRG A-5 (Slot

Cementer:

PROGRAM:

1. Hold a PJSM with HAL Slickline, rig crew (Air Tugger Operator). Review JSA for slickline. Two
rig crew members needed to drive air tuggers.

2. Rig up tugger sheaves below the drillfloor to position tugger wire directly over BRG A-5 (Slot
#11).

3. Remove circular hatch cover from BRG A-5 (Slot #11).

 Connect the ¼” control lines for the TR-SCSSV and LV to the hydraulic control panel.

4. Open the bleed port on the Xmas Tree cap and bleed down any residual pressure above the
Swab valve.

5. Remove the Xmas Tree cap. Clean the sealing area of any debris.

6. PU and MU the following lower PCE items onto the Xmas Tree (from bottom to top):

 4.00 ft Riser
 2.00” WECO Pump-in Tee w/ double lo-torc valves and hose line to overboard.
 5 ½” Dual Ram Wireline Valve
 Lower section of QTS

7. Function test the 5 ½” Dual Ram Wireline Valve in accordance with Halliburton procedures.
Completion Supv must verify that the ram works.

8. PU the following upper PCE and suspend above the lower PCE using tugger lines accordingly:

 Upper section QTS


 18 ft x 5.00” OD Lubricator w/ 9.00”-4 OTIS ACME connections (three sections) and bleed
off ports.
 X-over: 9.00”-4 OTIS ACME x 5.75”-4 OTIS ACME
 8 ft x 3.00” OD Lubricator w/ 5.75”-4 OTIS ACME connections
 3 ½” Tool Catcher w/ 5.75”-4 OTIS ACME connections
 3 ½” Stuffing Box w/ 5.75”-4 OTIS ACME connections

9. Stabilize the upper PCE above the lower PCE accordingly. Install dummy toolstring. Make up
upper and lower PCE at QTS connection.

10. Pull out the slickline and make up Baker Model A running tool, Model D probe, MH positioning
tool c/w Baker 3.688” AOFM plug. Zero tool reference to rotary table elevation.

11. Pull the toolstring back into the catcher and make up PCE at QTS connection.

12. Open swab valve. Remove the 2 1/6” blind flange from the PKW and connect the cement hose
c/w lo-torc valve.

13. Flush cement test line hose from cement unit to platform cellar deck to drillwater BEFORE
making hose & lo-torq up to BRG-A5 Xmas tree PKW valve. Ensure returns are clean.

14. Make up cement test line hose to PKW 2 1/16” 10k flange. Flush from cement unit via PKW up
slickline riser & take returns via T-piece on slickline riser overboard.

15. Pressure tests the cement line to the Xmas Tree to 8,000 psi for 10 minutes. Acceptance
Criteria: ≤ 50 psi loss in the surface pressure for the duration of the test.

16. Bleed down any pressures back to the cement unit.

17. Relieve the pressure on the stuffing box. Open the bleed off port on the Upper PCE.

18. Open PKW. Fill the PCE using the cement unit with brine. Pump at +/- 1 bpm.

19. Shut down pumping when fluid is seen coming through the bleed off port. Close the bleed off
port and apply pressure to the stuffing box for pressure testing.

20. Pressure test the PCE to 500/8,000 psi for 5/10 minutes with the cement pump. Acceptance
Criteria: ≤ 50 psi loss in the surface pressure for the duration of the test. Chart the pressure
test.

21. Bleed down the pressure back to the cement unit. Close the PKW and isolate the cement pump.

SLICKLINE RUN #1 – SET PLUG

22. Open the HMV and LMV.

23. Open the LV and leave the close line bled off.

24. Open the TR-SCSSV and lock-in 10,000 psi on the control line.

25. RIH and set the 3.688” AOFM plug at AOF Nipple 10,031.7 ft MD RTE.

Note: Utilize the following RIH and POOH criteria.


 Record PU and HW every 1000 ft.
 Slow down < 30 fpm until complete assembly passes through LV @ ~512’ MD
RTE & TR-SSSV @ ~998’ MD RTE
 Limit RIH speed < 150 ft/min in clear tubing.

 Measure and record PU and HW 50 ft above the AOF Nipple.

26. Jar up to shear the pins and release the running tool.

27. POOH running tool to the tool catcher.

RE-SET PREMIER PACKER

28. Ensure Geoservices sensors hook up for monitoring/recording A & B annulus during packer
setting and pressure tests.

29. Ensure LV is open with 1,000 psi is held on LV open-line and 500 psi on LV close-line.

30. Ensure TR-SCSSV is open with 10,000 psi is held on control line.

31. Open PKW. Fill the tubing using the cement unit with 8.8ppg brine c/w 0.2ppb oxygen
scavanger. Pump at +/- 1 bpm.

32. Shut down pumping when fluid is seen coming through the PCE bleed off port. Close the bleed
off port and close Swab valve for setting the packer.

33. Pressure up tubing to 1,000 psi. Hold for 2 minutes to confirm no leakage from the AOFM plug.

34. Continue to pressure up the tubing to 7,500 psi to complete the re-setting of the packer.
Maintain 7,500 psi for 15 minutes to re-set and fully energize packer element.

 Record cement pressure, A and B annulus pressure during setting.


 Record volume pumped and returns.

35. Slowly bleed off pressure to zero. Bleed TR-SCSSV control line to 5,000 psi

SLICKLINE RUN #2 (EQUALIZE PLUG) & RUN #3 (RETRIEVE PLUG)

36. Break the PCE at the QTS. Lift the upper PCE. Remove plug’s running tool and install Model A
guide and Equalizing Prong.

37. Zero toolstring. Make up QTS and test 8,000 psi.

38. Open Swab valve.

39. RIH Equalizing Prong to AOFM plug at AOF Nipple 10,031.7 ft MD RTE. Jar down to equalize
the plug.

40. POOH equalizing prong to the tool catcher.

41. Close Swab valve and HMV.

42. Break the PCE at the QTS. Lift the upper PCE. Remove Equalizing Prong and install GS Pulling
tool.

43. Zero toolstring. Make up QTS and test 8,000 psi.

44. Open Swab valve and HMV.

45. RIH GS Pulling tool to AOFM plug at AOF Nipple 10,031.7 ft MD RTE. Tap down to latch the
plug. Jar up to shear plug’s releasing pin and free the lock from nipple profile.

46. POOH GS and plug to the tool catcher.

47. Close Swab valve and HMV.

48. Break the PCE at the QTS. Lift the upper PCE. Remove GS and AOFM plug. Install weight bar.
Make up QTS and test 8,000 psi.

BLEED off N2 and TOP FILL ANNULUS / TEST PREMIER PACKER

49. Connect the cement line to A-annulus outlets on the uni-head and to PKWV to be able to pump
down tubing after Annulus pressure test.

50. Pressure test cement line to 300/6,500 psi for 5/10 minutes. Acceptance: Less than 50 psi loss
in pressure for the duration of the test. Bleed off pressure.

51. Shut lo-torq valve at downstream of t-piece on wellhead platform cellar deck to isolate from
cement unit. Open lo-torq valve at same t-piece for overboard line.

52. Open A-annulus valve at uni-head and slowly bleed off the Nitrogen pressure via overboard line
on wellhead platform.

53. Shut A-annulus valve and lo-torq to overboard line. Open lo-torq from cement unit.

54. Open outer FMC hydraulic actuator valve on A-annulus.

55. Open A-annulus valve and fill the A-annulus with +/- 50 bbls of drill water.

56. Close outer FMC hydraulic actuator once fluid at surface and line up valves to pressure test A-
annulus

57. Pressure up A-annulus to 1,000/3,000/5,500 psi for 5/5/30 minutes. Monitor B annulus and
tubing pressure during the testing of the A-annulus to confirm that the Premier Packer is test

good from above and tubing hanger seals is tested. Acceptance Criteria: ≤50 psi pressure loss
for test duration. Record the pressure test on a chart.

58. Geoservices to record A and B annulus pressure for the duration of the test.

59. Slowly bleed down the pressure back to the cement unit. Record volume pumped and returns.
Check the shut-in pressure on tubing and B-annulus.

60. Line up cement unit to pressure up the tubing.

61. Pressure up tubing to 1,000/3,000/5,500 psi for 5/5/30 minutes. Monitor A-annulus during the
testing of the tubing to confirm that the Premier Packer is set. Acceptance Criteria: ≤50 psi
pressure loss for test duration on the tubing. Record the tubing/packer pressure test on a chart.

62. Geoservices to record A and B annulus pressure for the duration of the test.

63. Slowly bleed down the pressure back to the cement unit. Record volume pumped and returns.
Check the shut-in pressure on A-annulus.

INFLOW TESTS AND RIG DOWN

64. Pressure up tubing to 2,500 psi. Record volume pumped.

65. Close LV and bleed off pressure above to 500 psi. Monitor LV inflow test pressure for 30
minutes.

66. Pressure up tubing above LV to 2,500 psi. Open LV and bleed off pressure to zero. Record fluid
returns.

67. Close LV. Pressure up tubing to 2,500 psi. Record volume pumped.

68. Close HMV and bleed off pressure above to 500 psi. Monitor HMV inflow test pressure for 30
minutes.

69. Open HMV and bleed off pressure to zero. Record fluid returns.

70. Rig down slickline.

Next operation: Rig up Slickline from A-5 and move to A-4
