What makes you want to become a moderator? *

I like to keep things under control and I am also very interested on how humans think, react
and communicate. Have been reading quite a few self-help books as well lately. In the past, I
used to be an admin and moderator of a fairly big tech forum (18k users, not a subreddit)
and I currently moderator a (not so active) Slack group.
What can you contribute to the community? (Think CSS skills, discord
moderation, Automoderator con�guration, Weekly scheduled posts, etc).

I am a web developer by trade, so I do have CSS skills. I am in a couple of Discord groups
already, so moderating there should not be an issue either. I have never worked with
Automoderator, but looking at the docs, it doesn't seem to be that hard to con�gure.
I could probably come up with some ideas for scheduled posts as well.

Generally in the morning quite a bit and then throughout the day a couple of times. I am on
Reddit basically every day, but I don't comment that often.

I’ve never been a moderator on Reddit before and I think it would be kind of cool to �nally
become one.

Depends; Typically Monday-Friday I can be available for at least 6 hours, and on the

family, and masters program. However, I think it would be cool to help those struggling �nd
others who they can relate to, and have a journey together.

About 1 year I think

This subreddit has helped me plenty, it gave me a different insight into what I was doing
wrong and how I could adjust it. I highly appreciate this subreddit and that's why I would like
to give back.

I think this subreddit is a huge resource to so many people. I was very inspired by your
handy small talk checklist. Learning how to socialize? You're never taught this in a class.
How can you practice & get better without a guide? Also, my lil bro and lots of family are on
the autism spectrum; I've been surrounded by social skills meta my whole life

I am pretty great at organizing ideas. Fluent with Zapier. Some experience moderating
Twitter pages and forums for work; wasn't creating cool enough content to continue leading
those projects, but I dont have to be cool here, right?

I'd like to monitor the forum and ensure users are complying with the rules. It will also give
me another purpose. I'd also like to ensure and encourage good behaviour and no harsh or
cruel posts or comments; nothing of a violent, threatening or intimidating nature.

Just moderation of the subreddit. Ideally, I would like to be able to encourage good
behaviour and deal with anyone who is doing anything wrong accordingly.

Not long, like a month? But I lurk unsubbed for a pretty long time now.

I have a lot of time on my hands, I love reviewing reports and I feel like I can make this sub a
better, safer place.

Discord moderation I have moderated 5 discord servers many with populations over 50.
Many of them do not exist anymore, but discord communities are a great resource I believe
in if there is a team there to keep them managed and safe.
