Explain why you chose this artifact as your best representation of this particular INTASC 
standard. 
 

I chose this artifact to represent standard five because it shows how I connected 

concepts and used different perspectives to engage learners in critical thinking. Through 

collaboration with groups members, I created a lesson plan and implemented it by teaching a 

class of eleventh and twelfth graders. Creating lesson plans that fit each learner is crucial. One 

way we did this was by providing differentiated learning. My group tools that fit visual, audio, 

and kinesthetic learners.  

Reflection: 

From this project, I learned how much effort goes in to just one lesson plan. I spent 

many hours researching information and practicing teaching the information. However, it is 

crucial to do this so students receive knowledge the best way possible. After completing this 

lesson plan, I feel more confident to create these as a future teacher. One part I will remember 

from this project is to research plenty about each topic before teaching the information.
