Problem Title:-Design a power supply for given
specifications and adhering to required industry standards (e.g.
EMI standards) and build a prototype.
Project Description:
Instruments need a constant voltage power supply, and typically
available voltages are 110 VAC, 230 VAC and 24 VDC. To
remove confusion and wiring errors / problems on the field, a
universal power supply is to be designed, where the same two
input terminals will be used for any voltage, but the output
should be +/- 12 VDC
The design should have standard overvoltage protection, reverse
polarity protection and should conform to the current EMI /
EMC norms.
Brief specifications:
Input: 12 V / 24 VDC (max upto 42 VDC)
120 / 230 VAC 50 / 60 Hz
Output : +12 VDC / 200 mA
-12VDC / 50 mA
PCB size: 72 mm dia, 15 mm height.
EMI standards : EN 61000 - 4 - 2 / 3 /4 / 5 /6
Ex standards : Exia EN 60079 - 11
Work Done:-
Our main focus of designing power supply was oriented on
voltage regulator. As shown in figure we are getting the output
as expected with respect to specification. We need to modify
some small elements like resistance and capacitance so that it
output is much precise.

Conclusion:-
Thus with this regulator circuit we can expect the given output.
