Universal Design for Learning (UDL):

Students are able to read the information posted on the website as many times as needed to get a better
understanding. The video attached is also great because it is online, and students are able to view as many
times needed.
Lesson idea implementation:
This will be and introduction to the lesson of learning about plants. The students will listen to the audio on
the classroom blog to get directions on what they must complete outside of class prior to the lesson. The
students will bring in their plants they found outside of the house. Each student will show their plant on the
doc cam and describe it and all of its parts. They will also give a reason as to why they chose that particular
flower.

To extend this lesson, I will have children create a flower of their own as a project using play-doh and describe
the different plants and their needs. The students will create an audio file of their own describe their plant
and its parts. When they are finished, I will upload their picture along with their audio file onto the class
website for all to see.
Importance of technology:
Technology is very important because students may need to watch videos as a reference when completing
their project. They will also need it to create their own audio file with the description of their plants.
Internet Safety and Student Privacy:
In my classroom, we will always go over the rule of internet safety when technology is involved. I will post the
rules around the classroom for everyone to be able to refer to. I will help navigate the students to the website
needed to watch videos and make sure they stay on safe sites.

Classroom Blog and Website Creation Tools
I believe this activity can impact student learning because it gives them the opportunity to be independent
creatives. It allows for them to take the information they learned and turn it into so many other things such as
and audio and even later in the lesson a movie.
