Career Readiness Reflection

Date of presentation/event: March 8, 1019 Location: Makers Place

Brief description of activity (what was it?): This event consisted of many different representatives
from all different fields in technology coming together to talk to us about what they do.

Why did you choose to attend this presentation? I chose to attend this presentation because I am
hoping to go into an architect or interior design field when I get older, and someone there
specialized in that type of field.

What did you learn about this career/field that is appealing to you? That there are so many different
aspects you can do once you get into the field. Also that you aren't always going to be stuck
behind your desk but traveling to new places to do your job.

What areas of this career/field might be difficult for you? I definitely think an area that could be
difficult is the artistic side of it, being able to draw is very important and i'm not to sure that i'm the
best when it comes to drawing.

What skills have you already developed that would help you in this career/field? Some skills I have
already developed is being able to work with others and making sure I get my work done on time.
In this certain field you must work as a team to get things done and I feel that I have achieved that
this year.

What skills would you need to further develop (or begin to develop) to be successful in this
career/field? I would like to take an art class or a technology class so I can really grasp the concepts
I am going to need to pursue this career.

Do you want to continue to investigate this career/field as a possibility for your future? Why or
why not? I would like to continue to investigate this career path because after all this time of
wanting to be an interior decorator and architect as a kid I still find it such an interesting job.
