MIX DESIGN

For using M30 concrete,

Target mean strength = fck+1.65 S
=30+1.65*5
=38.25 N/mm2

1) Water cement ratio

Using IS code for table the value is 0.45

2) Water content
For 20mm aggregate max water content is = 186 kg(for 50mm
slump)
our slump value is = 100 mm
For 100mm slump increase 6% of water content
Total water content = 198 kg
Cement=198/0.45 =440kg

3) Calculation of fine aggregate and coarse aggregate

Using IS code
Volume of coarse aggregate = 0.62
Volume of fine aggregate = 0.38

4) Mix propotion
To take volume of concrete = 1m3
Volume of cement = 440/(3.15*1000)
=0.140m3
Volume of water = 198 kg

Volume of total aggregate = 1-(0.140+0.198)

=0.662m3
Weight of coarse aggregate = 0.662*0.62*2.65*1000
=1088 kg
Weight of fine aggregate = .680*.38*2.50*1000
=629 kg
For 1 m3
