Hi guys!

Feel free to drop ideas down here for your set list/when you guys can get together to
rehearse. I’m working behind the scenes on this and won’t actually be there, I’m just trying to
help provide the space for you guys to get prepared. Jazz standards/cocktail music would be
the goal. Let me know how I can help in any way! Thanks again for agreeing to this.

Rehearsal Dates:

Hey everyone, Alli here (in purple from now on). I’m free to rehearse tomorrow the 16th before
7pm or after 8pm. I’m also free this weekend pretty much anytime (my commitments are
flexible). Next week will be much tougher, but I might have some free time during the day on
Thursday the 23rd. Where do people want to get together to rehearse? If it’s next Thursday the
23rd I can hopefully set up my drumset and leave it somewhere accessible until the gig
Saturday. Rachel would you mind reminding us of the gig specifics? Where and when do
we need to be there? Also, who is confirmed for this gig?? [Ditto this question -Zack]

As for the setlist, I moved a bunch of song PDFs that are in easy keys and pretty standard for
this sort of gig to a shareable folder on my google drive… here’s the link. This is by no means
an exhaustive list, but maybe a good place to start? PLEASE upload/share your own files if you

Hey everyone, this might answer some questions about the gig- this is an email I dug up
from Becky dated Feb 10:

“Dear Eva, Zack, Ali, and Andria,

I first want to say a big thank you for your willingness to play for this event!

if you haven't been contacted by our coordinator, Rachel Armour, then you will be
shortly. She is helping me with maintaining the connections and getting the rep
organized with you all.
You will set up day of, in the Washburn cafeteria, on the assigned stage, while the
ceremony is happening at the church down the road. You have a window between 10a.m-
11.30a.m/12p.m to get sound check and organized. Our sound engineer and IT guys will
be there to help, and we will also have maintenance booked to assist with set up and
break down for you.

Ali, where are your drums? Do we need to bring them to campus or are they still in 3
Phillips?

This is as posh and high level as a university gets so bring out your best so we make
them want more MT!!!! Concert blacks attire. As posh as you are willing to go! The board
of trustees will be at this event along with other dignitaries and important people.

From this point, let Rachel know what logistics you need arranged and she will send me
the list. You can also email me directly! I'm trying to streamline .. let's see how I do with
that!

We also have 3 of our violinists playing in the ceremony, which will also be awesome!
