To the Office of Hawaii News Now,

I am incredibly interested in Sports Broadcasting Business. I am currently interning with Taryn

Hatcher as her intern shadow for this Spring 2018 semester. I am writing to submit an application
for a sports intern position at Hawaii News Now Department. As a current undergrad in the
school of Communications, I believe that this would be amazing opportunity to further my
experience in the Sport Broadcasting Business. This position would allow me to gain working
experience at a high level of Sports Interaction while utilizing the my skills of communication,
camera exposure, and time management.

I am most excited to work with Taryn Hatcher more and to have her guide me through my
experience of becoming a Sports Anchor. In my internship with her, I have grasped what it takes
to be in this business and what it means to be a Sports Broadcaster. I was able to shadow her
through her work days and allow her to teach me everything I need to know to get to where I
want to be in this business. This internship has enhanced my learning skills, my written and oral
communication, and time in front of the camera. Lastly, I believe that my work ethic and my
fresh perspective will help me to become a Sports Anchor in this business.

I will be graduating from the School of Communications at the University of Hawaii, Manoa in
the Spring of 2019. I would greatly appreciate an opportunity to work for Hawaii News Now in
the Sports Department. My love for sports and for Hawaii is why I believe I would be a perfect
candidate to work in your office.
