STEPS TO WRITE A SHORT STORY
1. Start with an idea
2. Pick a point of view: first person “I” or third person “She or He”. 3. Develop your main characters: feelings, moral characteristics, appearance features, decisions,…etc. 4. Choose at least one setting where the story is taking place. 5. Develop the plot: - introduction: CATCHY FIRST PARAGRAGH, characters and settings are established. - rising action: events are built up to the conflict, excitement, tensión, crisis. - climax point: the climax usually occurs in the last half of the story or close to the ending, it is the moment of highest interest of the story. - falling action: events began to resolve -conclusion: the end of the story with a happy or tragic ending.
