1 Name of the Project Internet based Online ticket reservation system for Cinema Halls

Internet based Online ticket reservation system for Cinema Halls which can be
accessed throughout the Net and can be accessed by any one who has a net
2 connection. This application will automate the reservation of tickets and enquiries
Objective/ Vision
about availability of the seats. This application includes email confirmation for the
tickets. This application will be a paid subscription service to the Cinema hall
owner.

Provide Role based access to various users of the system

1. System to allow the Administrator to maintain database of Cinema
Halls and details thereof like type – multiplexes or normal, number of
screens, seating capacity per screen, approximate rates per screen, other
facilities at the Cinema Hall, Map to Cinema Hall -etc to be published
publically. The cinema halls listed are of different types and offer 3
different types of seats/classes. Cinema Halls with multiplexes have
different seating capacity, rates for different classes. Only 50% of the
seats are available for online reservation.
2. System to allow the Cinema Hall Manager to upload the details of
number of shows, movies being screened, ticket rates etc on the site,
only on registration.
3. System to allow Users to search for cinema halls, movies, shows-etc
based on selection criteria, for 2 weeks in advance.
4. System to allow user to choose the seats which are available for a selected
Functional movie, selected screen, selected show, selected class. User can select the
4 Requirements mode of transfer of tickets whether through the courier or collection at the
(Atleast Eight) counter, charges for the same to be added to the total of ticket charges.
5. User be allowed to pay thru Debit/Credit Card for reservation of tickets.
System to interface with Payment gateway system to verify the card details.
On successful payment, SMS / Mail should be sent to the concerned person
about the confirmation of the ticket to the specified mobile no. / email address.
User to provide the printout of the mail / show SMS along with photo identity
for the entry.
6. System to maintain certain details like Cinema Hall owner, contact
details, Mail id for private use only, as the Cinema Hall owners are
charged for this service annually.

7.System to send auto-mailers to the Cinema Hall owners as reminders for

annual service subscription fee. System to allow Cinema Hall manager to make
online payment thru Debit / credit card for subscription payment.
System to automatically block the subscription to service on non payment of
subscription charges and stop publishing the details of the related Cinema hall.
